What is an herbal oil infusion?

An herbal oil infusion is a process in which herbs are steeped in oil to extract their medicinal and beneficial properties. This infusion process creates an all-natural, plant-based oil that can be used in a variety of applications. 

To make our organic herbal oil infusions, high-quality organic herbs are placed in a jar, covered with an organic carrier oil (such as sweet almond or avocado oil), and then infused for 8 weeks. This allows 100% of the active compounds in the herbs to be extracted into the oil, creating a potent and therapeutic product. 

At The Botanical Balm Company, we take great care to ensure that all of our herbal oil infusions are made with the highest quality organic herbs and oils. We use very low heat (<110 degrees Fahrenheit) to ensure that the beneficial compounds are extracted without damaging the delicate plant material, resulting in a pure and potent oil which we use in our products.
